Our Story & How It All Began
From a handful of stems to thousands of blooms — this is our story.
Before Moore Blooms was a full-fledged flower farm, it was just Grace… a handful of dahlia stems… and a heart full of kindness.
Years ago, Grace was living in the Philippines, ready for a new chapter. She moved to Singapore for fresh opportunities, but the path wasn’t always easy. After two years, she felt the pull to move on again — this time, to Canada, where she arrived as a caregiver. It was here, in beautiful Chilliwack, B.C., that Grace met her husband, Bill. They built a life together, welcomed their daughter Anayah, and unknowingly planted the seeds for something much bigger than they imagined.
At the time, Bill’s father Larry was growing dahlias on their land for the Fraser Valley Dahlia Society. Grace began helping in the garden — snipping a few stems here and there, giving little bouquets to friends. One day, someone suggested she set up a roadside flower stand. She laughed… and then did it anyway.
It was just a small table with a tin for coins and a few cheerful jars of dahlias. But it didn’t stay small for long.
The Moore's

Meet Grace, Owner
Grace is the heart and hands behind Moore Blooms — a proud Filipina, mama, and flower grower with a big laugh and an even bigger work ethic. What started as a few jars of blooms on a roadside stand has grown into a full flower farm with over 10,000 dahlias — and Grace is still out there planting, harvesting, and answering emails with muddy fingers.
She’s passionate about sharing beauty, growing with care, and making people smile — one bloom at a time.
From 80 plants to 10,000
Grace started with 80 plants that first season. Then 200. Then 500. Then 1,000. Today, Moore Blooms has grown into a field of over 10,000 dahlia plants and 400+ stunning varieties, each one planted by hand by Grace, Bill, and now even little Anayah.
As the blooms grew, so did Grace’s knowledge. Larry and the team at the Fraser Valley Dahlia Society taught her the art and science of growing strong, healthy tubers — lessons she still puts into practice today. It wasn’t long before she was harvesting, dividing, and storing tubers not just for herself, but for the growing number of dahlia lovers who wanted a piece of the magic too.
And somewhere along the way, Grace realized something powerful: this farm wasn’t just a business. It was a way to stay home with her daughter. It was a way to pour beauty into the world. It was a dream she didn’t know she had until she lived it.
What We Offer
Today, Moore Blooms is proud to be a thriving family-run flower farm that shares joy in two ways:
🌸 Fresh-Cut Flowers:
From August through October, our roadside stand in Chilliwack overflows with gorgeous dahlias in every shape and colour. Whether you’re planning a wedding, grabbing a gift, or just picking up a little something to brighten your table, our stand is always stocked and open to the public.
🌱 Tuber Sales & Wholesale:
Every January, we open up our tuber shop for pre-orders so you can grow your own dahlia wonderland. We also offer wholesale tuber orders for florists, designers, and fellow growers across Canada. Each tuber is hand-selected and guaranteed to contain at least one eye — just like the ones we plant in our own fields.
Still Just Us — and We Love It That Way
Twelve years later, Moore Blooms is still run by the same three pairs of hands: Grace, Bill, and Anayah. They plant every tuber, harvest every stem, and pour their hearts into every bouquet. It’s hard work. It’s dirty work. But it’s also full of joy, colour, and community.
This little farm in Chilliwack has become more than a business. It’s a place where people stop for flowers — and stay for a smile.
Thanks for being part of the story. We’re so glad you’re here. 💐
